Andra Adolfson is the Business Development Director of Adolfson & Peterson Construction, Inc, a nationwide commercial construction company co-founded by her grandfather in 1946, and led by her father, David Adolfson. She oversees market analysis for the firm, and provides leadership in marketing and the
management of client relationships. Adolfson's background also includes a significant expertise in and support of the arts, including
work for the Southern Vermont Arts Center and the Manchester Film Festival. Her volunteer service also
includes Minnesota Women in Commercial Real Estate (MNCREW), and Luther Seminary, where she has
served on committees including Master Planning, Young Donors, Member Services, and Women in Philanthropy. Adolfson holds a
B.A. from the University of Minnesota. |

Dan
W. Anderson is the Chairman of Swenson Anderson Financial
Group in Minneapolis, with planners located throughout Minnesota and
neighboring states. He received his BA degree in mathematics from
Augsburg College. Dan was an All-American basketball player at Augsburg
and led the team to three MIAC Championships. He was named MIAC Player
of the Year three times and is a member of the Augsburg Athletic Hall
of Fame. Dan was a charter member of the New Jersey Nets and played
for both the Nets and the Minnesota Pipers professional basketball
teams in the American Basketball Association. He serves a number of
professional organizations including the Financial Planning Association
and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and
is a board member of Metro Hope Ministries. Dan is a Regional Director
for Financial Network Investment Corporation, a securities broker-dealer,
and a General Agent for a variety of insurance companies. He was elected
to the Augsburg Board in October 2003. He and his wife, Alice, live
in Minneapolis. |

Rev. Gary
E. Benson has been the directing pastor at Zumbro Lutheran Church
in Rochester since 1993, and has been a clergyman since 1974. Gary graduated
from Augsburg in 1970, and received his master of divinity degree from Luther
Theological Seminary in 1974. He serves on a variety of synod and community
committees. Gary was elected to the Board in October 1996. Gary’s
wife, Sara, also an Augsburg grad, teaches in the Rochester Public Schools. |

Jackie P. Cherryhomes graduated cum laude from Augsburg in 1976, and attended the Humphrey Institute Reflective Leadership Program in 1980. Cherryhomes was elected to the Minneapolis City Council in 1989. She served on the City Council from 1990-2002, serving as Council President from 1994-2002. Cherryhomes' civic activities include serving on the Board of the Minneapolis Athaeneum, Board Member on The City, Inc., and President of the Minneapolis Aquatennial Ambassador Organization. She is co-chair of the Capital Campaign for the Northside YMCA. Jackie owns her own business, Cherryhomes-Tyler, LLC, providing government relations assistance to businesses in the Twin Cities, and is a real estate development consultant. Jackie is married to attorney F. Clayton Tyler, also a graduate of Augsburg College. Jackie was elected to the Board in October 1998. |

Michael
O. Freeman is a graduate of Rutgers College (B.A., 1970) and the
University Of Minnesota School Of Law (J.D., 1974). Mike is a partner at
Lindquist & Vennum, P.L.L.P. Mike’s community involvement includes
serving as a board member of the Summit Academy OIC and the Minnesota Private
Colleges Foundation. He is an instructor in the Political Science Department
at Augsburg College in the Weekend College program, and at the Hubert Humphrey
Institute of Public Affairs. Mike was elected to the Augsburg College Board
in October 2000. Mike was elected to the Minnesota Senate in 1982 and 1986 and
to the position of Hennepin County Attorney in 1990 and 1994. Mike is the
proud father of three college students, Beth, Katie and Matthew. |

Anthony (Tony)
L. Genia Jr., MD graduated from Augsburg College with a Bachelor
of Arts degree in 1985. During his undergraduate education he served as
President of the Augsburg College Intertribal Student Union (1983-85). He
attended the University of Minnesota Medical School, during which time he
served on the Executive Council of the Association of Native American Medical
Students (including chairperson 1989-90). Dr. Genia then attended the University
of New Mexico where he completed a Residency in Emergency Medicine at the
University of New Mexico Hospital in 1993. Currently, Dr. Genia is certified
as a Diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow
of the American College of Emergency Physicians. His principal practice
is at the Fairview University Medical Center in Minneapolis, Mn. Dr. Genia
was elected to the Augsburg College Board of Regents in October, 2004. |

Michael R.
Good graduated from Augsburg College in 1971 with a major in Sociology
and a physical education minor. He became the head wrestling coach and admissions
counselor for one year at Augsburg after his graduation. He then completed
his Masters degree at the University of St. Thomas. During his career at
Augsburg, Good was a two time NAIA All American in Wrestling, twice captain
of the wrestling team and was recognized as the Honor Athlete in 1971. He
is currently President and Chief Executive Officer of Sotheby's International
Realty Affiliates, Inc. In 1991, Good was inducted into the Augsburg College
Athletic Hall of Fame. He and his wife, Ann, live in Basking Ridge, New
Jersey. Mike was elected to the Board of Regents in 2001. |

Theodore Grindal (Chair) graduated in 1976 from Augsburg College with a
Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in political science and communications
and in 1979 from the University of Minnesota Law School with a Juris Doctorate.
Ted is a partner in the Minneapolis law firm of Lockridge Grindal Nauen
P.L.L.P. He served as a special assistant in the Minnesota Attorney General’s
office from 1980-1983. Ted has served as a Board member of the Minnesota
Center for the Arts and is currently a member of the Board (and past president)
of the International Hearing Foundation. He was recently elected to the
Norwegian American Historical Association Board of Directors. Ted was elected
to the Augsburg Board of Regents in 1996. Ted is married to Michele and they live in Minneapolis. |

Norman R.
Hagfors is Founder and President (retired) of Norsen, Inc. He
served as an Augsburg College Regent from 1989-2001 providing active participation
during a critical stage of Augsburg’s growth. Recently retired from
the management and engineering consulting firm he founded, Mr. Hagfors is
active in the community and church. He and his wife, Evangeline, have two
children. Mr. Hagfors is a graduate of the University of Minnesota in electrical
engineering. He was re-elected to Augsburg’s Board in October 2005. |

Jodi Harpstead is Chief Operating Officer at Lutheran Social Service
of Minnesota. Prior to her position with LSS – where she leads marketing,
fundraising, and public policy – Harpstead was an executive for 23
years with Medtronic, Inc., holding several key positions, including President
of Global Marketing and U.S. Sales in the Cardiac Rhythm Management Division
and General Manager of Cardiac Surgery Technology. An exceptional leader
and staff developer, she helped to grow a variety of businesses at the pioneering
medical device organization. Harpstead serves on the boards of Delta Dental
Plan of Minnesota and the Girl Scout Council of St. Croix Valley. She has
also served on the boards of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Mutual Funds,
the Plymouth Christian Youth Center, and Lutheran Campus Ministry of Minnesota.
She is active in her own congregation, the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection
in Roseville. Ms Harpstead holds an M.B.A. in Finance and a BS in Business
Administration from Michigan State University. She was elected to the Augsburg
Board in October 2005. |

Richard
C. Hartnack
Since the beginning of his banking career in 1971, Hartnack has held positions
in corporate banking at First Interstate Bank of Oregon, and community
banking at First Chicago and Union Bank of California. He currently is
vice chairman and head of consumer banking at U.S. Bancorp. Hartnack has a bachelor’s
degree in economics from UCLA and a master’s degree in business
administration from Stanford University. He is a graduate of the Strategic
Marketing Management program at the Harvard Business School. |

Rolf Jacobson is a writer and educator, associate professor of Old Testament at Luther Seminary. Prior
to joining the Luther Seminary faculty in 2003, he taught at Augsburg College as an assistant professor of
religion. He is Augsburg’s 2007 Bernhard M. Christensen Symposium speaker. Jacobson earned his B.A.
from the University of St. Thomas, a master of divinity degree from Luther Seminary, and a doctor of
philosophy degree from Princeton Theological Seminary. Ordained in 1991, Jacobson served for five years
as associate pastor of Como Park Lutheran Church in St. Paul.
In his work, Jacobson emphasizes that the purpose of a biblical text is not just for preaching or
teaching, but for pastoral care, personal spiritual growth, and for the shaping of Christian mission and
theology. He believes the Scriptures should also function as a catalyst for change and growth within congregations. Jacobson is the
author of one book and many articles that focus on Old Testament theology and the study of the psalms and prophets. |

Ruth E. Johnson, MD '74 is a consultant in the Department of Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic and assistant
professor of medicine at Mayo Medical School. Her major interests are medical education, medical ethics
and women's health. She founded the Mayo Breast Clinic in 1993 and continues in patient care, education
and research for women with benign and malignant breast disease, and women at high risk for breast cancer.
Dr. Johnson earned her bachelor's degree summa cum laude at Augsburg College in 1974 in chemistry and
biology. She graduated from Mayo Medical School in 1978 and completed her residency at Mayo Graduate
School of Medicine. She is board certified in internal medicine.
Dr. Johnson previously served on Augsburg’s board. First elected in 1994, she served as Board
Secretary from 1998-2000, Chair of the Academic and Student Affairs Committee from 200-2004 and was instrumental in forming
the Science Advisory Board. She has served as Co-Chair of the Campaign Cabinet, Vice Chair of the Regent's Committee, a
member of the Presidential Search Committee and as an ex-officio member of the Executive Committee. She was recognized as a
Distinguished Alumna of Augsburg in 1996. Dr. Johnson is married to Phil Quanbeck II, Chair of Augsburg’s Department of
Religion. |

Dean Kennedy, an Augsburg alumnus, is President of TFI, a securities firm
located in Dallas, Texas. A Fridley, Minnesota native, Dean ties his success
in business directly to the kind of education he received at Augsburg.
During his time as an Augsburg student, Kennedy was a four-year varsity
wrestler and an All-American his senior year. He was also a two-time Minnesota
Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champion and twice named Outstanding
Wrestler in the MIAC tournament. In 1996, he was inducted into the Augsburg
Athletic Hall of Fame. In 2005, Kennedy and his wife, Terry, were significant
contributors to Augsburg’s Access to Excellence Campaign in support
of the Si- Melby athletic expansion project. "Augsburg has done a
very good job in working with its student-athletes,” says Kennedy,
“I took great pride in the program when I was there, and 30 years
later I'm still able to take pride. This is a college that teaches its
students how to think critically and care about the world. I wanted to
be supportive of that." Dean and Terry have four daughters and reside
in Frisco, Texas. Dean was elected to Augsburg’s
Board in October 2005. |

Dean
C. Kopperud has served the financial services industry for over
28 years, spending the last four years as Director of Sales for Oppenheimerfunds,
Inc. in New York. Prior to his position with Oppenheimerfunds, he was President
and CEO of Fortis Financial Group, where he also served as Senior Vice President
of Sales and Marketing. Mr. Kopperud has also held positions as Senior Vice
President of Integrated Resources and Director of Marketing and Sales for
Northwestern National Life Insurance Company. He and his wife, Susan, have
two daughters and are members of Mount Zion Lutheran Church. Mr. Kopperud
is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas. He served as an Augsburg
Regent from 1998-2004. Dean was re-elected to Augsburg’s Board in
2005. |

Lewis ‘73
Since 2002, Lewis has served as director of marketing and community affairs
and president of the RBC Dain Rauscher Foundation. Previously he held
a similar position at Honeywell. His background in education includes
serving as principal at both Washburn and South high schools. Lewis graduated from
Augsburg and earned a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. He has been
active in Augsburg’s Corporate Connections program. |

Gloria C.
Lewis joined Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities
(BBBS) in 2005, bringing more than 25 years experience in public and non-profit
administration. Prior to assuming leadership at BBBS, Gloria served as
the director of the Minnesota Department of Health's Office of Minority
and Multicultural Health where she developed and maintained the largest
legislative-funded health disparities initiative in the nation. Previously,
she served the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services and
the Chicago Department of Public Health, where she created the first violence
prevention plan developed by a major urban city. As a director in the
Philadelphia School District, Gloria developed and maintained a drug and
alcohol prevention system for grades K-12. Gloria is currently a member
of the University of St. Thomas' M.B.A. advisory board and serves on the
board of directors for the American Heart Association. She was elected
to the Augsburg College Board of Regents in October 1999.
She holds a master's degree from Boston University and a bachelor's degree
in psychology from Hampton University, Hampton, Va. Gloria lives in Minneapolis
with her husband, the Rev. Craig J. Lewis. |

Jennifer H.
Martin is senior vice president of Human Resources for Thrivent
Financial for Lutherans and is a member of the Executive Management Team.
Jennifer has a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Southern Illinois
University in Carbondale and a Masters degree and doctorate in education
from the University of Minnesota. From 1970 to 1985 Jennifer held various
teaching positions in the Minneapolis public school system. In 1985 she
accepted a personnel training specialist position with Sperry Corporation,
now Unisys Corporation. While at Unisys, Jennifer's positions included vice
president of Human Resources, Unisys Corporation Government Systems, a group
of four major divisions and 13,000 employees, as well as director of Human
Resources for Unisys' Electronics and Communications Systems Divisions,
which included 6,400 employees. In 1995, she joined Lutheran Brotherhood
as senior vice president of Human Resources, which merged with Aid Association
for Lutherans in January 2002 to form Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
Jennifer is a former director of the Allina Health Care and Minneapolis
Downtown Council boards. She was recently elected as a board member for
the Children's Home Society. Jennifer and her husband, Richard, reside in
south Minneapolis. Jennifer was elected to the Board of Regents in October,
2001. |

Marie O. McNeff, is Professor Emeritus and Dean (retired) of Augsburg College and was elected
to the Board of Regents in October 2005. She began her long career in education
as a teacher in a one-room schoolhouse in her native Nebraska. In 1968,
she joined Augsburg’s education faculty, and for the next 27 years
taught elementary education classes, as well as courses in both Weekend
College and the Master of Arts in Leadership program. In 1995, she was appointed
vice president for academic affairs and dean of the College. She left this
position in 1999 to spend her last year prior to retirement as Augsburg’s
academic master planner, creating a blueprint to implement the academic
provisions of Augsburg 2004, the College’s vision document. During
her tenure, she led efforts to bring faculty, staff, and students together
as a campus-wide learning community. McNeff earned bachelor’s and
master’s degrees in education, as well as an Ed.D. in administration
from the University of Nebraska. Her husband, Larry, is founder and president
of SarTec Corporation, a manufacturer of specialty products for agriculture.
They live in Anoka, Minnesota. Their son is a 1991 Augsburg graduate. |

Paul S. Mueller,
MD is an Internal Medicine Consultant at Mayo Clinic in Rochester,
Minnesota. He was elected to Augsburg’s Board in October 2005 and
will serve on the Development Committee. Following his graduation from Augsburg
College in 1984, Dr. Mueller attended the Johns Hopkins University School
of Medicine and the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health and
completed a residency in internal medicine at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
After several years on the faculty of the Johns Hopkins University School
of Medicine, Dr. Mueller returned to Minnesota in 1995 and joined the staff
of the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Mueller is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
Active in his church and community, Dr. Mueller recognized the role Augsburg
could play in Rochester while serving on a local higher education task force.
He was an instrumental force in launching Augsburg's Rochester campus and
has been among the program's strongest advocates. Dr. Mueller has been an
active member of Augsburg's Alumni Board, serving as its President in 2003-4.
He and his wife Nancy ('85) have three children. |

Ronald G.
Nelson, a 1968 Augsburg graduate, recently retired from his position
as vice president and controller at 3M, where he had worked since 1971.
Ron and his wife, Mary Kay, reside in Mendota Heights. Ron was elected to
the Board in October of 1996. He served as Treasurer of the Board and Chair
of the Finance Committee from September 2000-May 2004. |

Beverly Oren graduated from Augsburg College in 1955, with a major in history and a minor
in English. She held teaching positions in the Twin Cities area from 1955
to 1958. In the 1980’s and 90’s she worked at Dart Transit Company
as VP of Human Resources and served on its Executive Committee. During this
era, she attended classes at the U of M. Bev has served on the boards of
Boys and Girls Club, the YWCA, the Covenant Pines Bible Camp and Minnehaha
Academy. Presently she serves on the board of Dart Transit Company. She
is married to Donald Oren, a 1953 graduate of Augsburg and the U of M. Don
is CEO of Dart Transit Co., a nationwide trucking and logistics company
with corporate offices in Eagan, MN. Bev and Don live in Roseville, MN and
Gulfstream, FL. They have four children and seven grandchildren. Bev was
elected to the Augsburg Board in October 2004. |

Paul
C. Pribbenow is the 11th president of Augsburg College. Before coming to Augsburg College in 2006, Pribbenow served as president
of Rockford College in Rockford, Ill. He also has served as research fellow
for the Center of Inquiry in the Liberal Arts at Wabash College (Indiana);
dean for College Advancement and secretary of the Board of Trustees at
Wabash College; vice president of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago;
and associate dean of the Divinity School of the University of Chicago. Pribbenow holds a
B.A. (1978) from Luther College (Iowa), and an M.A. (1979) and Ph.D. (1993)
in social ethics from the University of Chicago. Pribbenow has chaired
the state board of the Illinois Campus Compact and served on the visiting
committee to the Divinity School of the University of Chicago. He was
named a McCormick Presidential Civic Leader Fellow for 2003-04 and for
2005-06. Pribbenow is the author of numerous articles on the professions,
ethics, and not-for-profit management. He publishes a bi-monthly e-mail
newsletter entitled Notes for the Reflective Practitioner, writes a regular
column for Contributions magazine, and has edited two collections of essays
entitled Serving the Public Trust: Insights for Fund Raising Research
and Practice, Volumes 1 and 2 (Jossey-Bass, 2000 and 2001). He currently
is at work on a book manuscript entitled Public Service: Philanthropic
Fundraising as a Calling. |

The Reverend
Peter Rogness was elected bishop of the Saint Paul Area Synod of
the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) in April 2002. Born in
1945 in Mason City, Iowa, Rogness grew up in St. Paul. He attended Augustana
College, Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He began his theological education at
Union Theological Seminary and was graduated from Luther Seminary in 1972.
Ordained in 1973, he served as associate pastor of Wellington Park Lutheran
Church, Milwaukee, from 1973-75, and as pastor of Hephatha Lutheran Church,
on Milwaukee’s north side, from 1975-85. Rogness was elected bishop
of the Southern Wisconsin District of The American Lutheran Church (ALC)
in 1985. He currently serves on the board of regents of St. Olaf College,
Northfield; the board of regents of Augsburg College, Minneapolis; and on
the board of Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service. His wife, Gerry Sheridan
Rogness, is an elementary teacher for the St. Paul Public Schools. Members
of Christ Lutheran Church, St. Paul, they live in St. Paul and are parents
to four and grandparents to four. |

Stephen Sheppard is former CEO of Foldcraft Co., a rural Minnesota furniture company which became
known for its innovative programs formed around its employee ownership. Sheppard has become a
leading expert in the field of employee ownership, and Foldcraft was recognized in 1998 by the ESOP
Association as the Outstanding Employee Owned Company in the U.S.
In 1999, Sheppard retired from Foldcraft to head up the new Winds of Peace Foundation. Winds of
Peace contributes to global peace by promoting economic, social, and environmental just relations, with a
special focus on local grassroots efforts principally in Nicaragua. Through this work, Sheppard has
developed a close collaboration with Augsburg’s Center for Global Education, together supporting transformational education
which raises awareness of global interdependencies. He holds a B.A. degree from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. |

Philip R.
Styrlund graduated from Augsburg with a double major in Business
Administration and Finance and a minor in Political Science in 1979. He
subsequently earned a M.S. in Telecommunications Science and a M.A. in Business
Management from St. Mary's College. He is currently President of The Summit
Group, an international education and development firm focused on senior
level engagement within the Sales/Marketing disciplines. Phil is also President
of Peak Learning, an applied research and development firm focused on the
study of human capacity and organizational behavior. He is very active in
the community and currently serves on the Board of Urban Ventures Leadership
Foundation, the Management Assistance Program (MAP), and the British Business
Trade Association. Phil is chair of capital campaigns for the Colin Powell
Youth Leadership Development Center in Minneapolis and the creation of a
Monastic cloister for Carmelite monks in St. Paul. Mr. Styrlund is also
actively involved in the International Fellowship Foundation in Washington
D.C. in which he is currently involved with economic development initiatives
in Tanzania. Phil and his wife, Julia (Julia Davis '79), make their home
in Apple Valley. Their oldest daughter, Kersten is currently a senior at
Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California and her younger sister, Hannah,
is planning on attending Augsburg next year. Phil was elected to the Augsburg
College Board in October 2000. |

Emily
Anne Tuttle is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and has
her Masters degree in Public Administration from the John F. Kennedy School
of Government at Harvard University. She was the first DFL woman elected
to the Minnesota Senate and specialized in healthcare policy. She was also
elected to the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners. She is currently
on the boards of the Guthrie Theater, Abbott Northwestern Hospital Foundation,
Hamm Clinic, Pangea World Theater and the Minnesota Community Foundation.
She and her husband, Gedney, live in Orono. Emily Anne was elected to the
Augsburg Board in October 2003. |

The Rev. Harold
L. Usgaard was elected June 9, 2001, to a six-year term as bishop
of the Southeastern Minnesota Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in
America (ELCA). Previous to his call as bishop, he served as a pastor at
St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Austin, Minn.; at Mount Hope Lutheran Church in
West Allis, Wis.; and at Zumbro Lutheran Church, Rochester, Minn. Usgaard
holds degrees from Luther College and Luther Seminary, and was ordained
as a pastor in 1973. He was born and raised in Decorah, Iowa. He and his
wife, Lynette, have three grown children and currently reside in Austin,
Minn. |

Joan Volz '68 is a private practice attorney specializing in mediation. She received her bachelor’s degree at
Augsburg College in 1968, majoring in philosophy, with minors in chemistry and religion. She received her
law degree and M.B.A. in general management from the University of Minnesota. Ms. Volz served
previously on Augsburg’s board from 1994-2006, holding such key leadership positions as Secretary to the
Board and Chair of the Finance Committee. She has also has served on the Lawyers Professional
Responsibility Board, the Ethics Committee of the Ramsey County Bar Association and on the Boy Scouts
Viking Council Executive Board. |

Rev. Norman
Wahl '75
Since 1996, Wahl has been executive pastor of Bethel Lutheran Church,
the site of Augsburg’s programs, in Rochester, Minn., and served
on the task force that led to the formation of the Rochester campus. He
has also been part of the alumni board, campaign cabinet, and on staff
at the College. After Augsburg, Wahl
graduated from Luther Seminary and earned a Doctor of Ministry degree
from the seminary in 1997. |

Bonnie Wallace, a member of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior
Chippewa in northern Minnesota, earned a degree in social welfare from
the University of Minnesota. In 1978, she was hired at Augsburg to
develop and implement the American Indian Support Program, which she
administered until 1996 when she met her goal of graduating 100
native students. Leaving Augsburg to move “back home,” she continues
to serve the Fond du Lac Reservation as their scholarship director
and serves on various local and national Indian advisory committees.
She is also active in cancer volunteer work, and completed the Avon
Walk in 2000, a 3-day walk from Kenosha, Wis., to Chicago -- one of
the highlights of her life. She has established The Bearheart Women's
Foundation, a cancer advocate organization for native people in
memory of her sister Nada, who died of breast cancer in 1999.
Augsburg established the Bonnie Wallace Leadership Award in
recognition of her service to the College.
