For Admitted Students

Congratulations on your admission! Now that you’ve been admitted to Augsburg College, please follow these next steps as you prepare for your arrival:

1. Enrollment Deposit

To save a spot, please submit the non-refundable $150 enrollment deposit by the deadline indicated on your admission letter

International students are encouraged to select “foreign currency” as the method of payment for their housing and/or enrollment deposit(s) in order to avoid potentially large credit card fees. These wire transfers are made using Western Union and are generally less expensive. Students who prefer to select credit card as their method of payment are advised to contact their credit card company before making payment to confirm any fees that will be assessed.

2. Activate Your Augnet Account

Once you submit your enrollment deposit you can activate your Augnet account to access your email, ability to change your password, register for classes, pay tuition, access class and library resources, view grades, access your academic records, and more. Learn more with this step-by-step guide.

3. Submit your Certification of Finances

In order to process your I-20, the following documents must be received:

  • Completed Augsburg Certification of Finances form
  • Proof of funding as demonstrated by supporting financial documents (such as bank statements – current within three months; Government Support Letter, etc…)
  • Copy of the first page your passport

Students transferring from a U.S. high school or college/university: you will need to have your SEVIS record transferred from your current institution to Augsburg. The SEVIS Transfer form must be completed by you and your Designated School Official. You will need to present your Augsburg letter of admissions to the DSO when submitting your transfer request. This form may be returned to Augsburg by e-mail.

4. Residence Life Forms

If you elect to live on-campus you will need to submit your Residence Life and Meal Plan Contract. You will receive an electronic version of the Contract via your Augsburg email within 4-5 business days after you submit your enrollment deposit. Once you complete the Residence Life and Meal Plan Contract, your student account will reflect your first payment toward housing, including a refundable $200 deposit. DO NOT SUBMIT THE CONTRACT UNTIL YOU HAVE THOROUGHLY READ AND UNDERSTOOD THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. THIS IS A LEGALLY BINDING CONTRACT FOR THE ENTIRE ACADEMIC YEAR.

5. Submit Final Official Transcripts

Augsburg must receive all final official transcripts directly from the high school/college/university. The documents must be sent as soon as they are available. Failure to submit your final official transcripts will negatively impact your enrollment at Augsburg.

6. Submit Proof of Immunizations and Student Account Disclosure Forms

Complete and return the Immunization and Student Account Disclosure forms prior to arriving to campus or on the first day of International Student Orientation. Failure to submit these forms will negatively impact your enrollment at Augsburg.
