Transfer Students

You didn’t start your degree at Augsburg, but you can finish it here.

At Augsburg we welcome transfer students from colleges and universities across the U.S. and the world. From the very beginning of your experience, you’ll find people who will try and help make your transition to Augsburg as easy as possible.


Studying at a U.S. college/university? Complete the following steps to apply for admissions:

  • Augsburg College on-line application or the Common Application,
  • Official transcript(s) from all post-secondary institutions attended
  • Proof of English language proficiency as demonstrated by the following:
    • TOEFL iBT score of 80 or higher
    • IELTS score of 6.5 or higher
    • SAT score of 1030 or higher on the critical reading and writing sections
    • ACT score of 22 or higher
    • One academic year (two semesters or four quarters) of transferable college level English courses (i.e.: English 101 and English 102) with grades of B or higher


Studying at a college/university outside the U.S.? Complete the following steps to apply for admissions:


 

Deadlines

Fall deadlines:

Extended Regular application deadline: August 15 for in-country transfer applicants and July 15 for out of country transfer applicants.

Spring Deadlines:

Regular admission deadline:  December 1 for in-country transfer applicants and November 1 for out of country transfer applicants.

 


 

For in and out of country applicants

Although not required for admissions consideration, international applicants are strongly encouraged to submit the following documents along with their application documents. These documents are required in order to issue your I-20 if admitted to Augsburg College.

  • Copy of your passport photo page
  • Completed Certification of Finances form
  • Official bank statement, current within 3 months showing funds of at least $30,000
