How do real life and real life learning fit together? Our students have found a way to make it work.

Sometimes that means reading textbooks while commuting on the bus, making a house-cleaning schedule for the kids (and the spouse!), or teaching the dog to pick up dirty socks and put them into the laundry basket. One student really did that! It might also mean missing out on an occasional barbecue or trip to the lake. But our students say the end result is worth anything you might give up. MAKING IT WORK

From her first meeting at Augsburg, Ree-c Brown has found people to support her on the way to a college degree. First she met with an admissions counselor to map out a schedule that worked with her job and baby daughter's routine. "When I realized I could qualify for financial aid and finish my degree in four years, that really sparked my interest," she said.

Next she met with an academic adviser to register, then attended orientation for new students. All along the way faculty and staff have helped make Ree-c's experience easier. "My weekend classes are stress free. During the week, work and daycare are stressful enough!"
