Admitted Student Checklist

Congratulations on your acceptance to Augsburg University!

We are excited that you have chosen to complete your degree at Augsburg, and to get you ready for the upcoming semester. Please review your next steps for a smooth transition to campus.

Submit Your Enrollment Decision Form

Submit your Enrollment Decision Form to tell us you plan on attending Augsburg. Completing this form will allow you to complete the additional steps toward registering for classes. The form can be completed by signing in to your application status page.  We encourage you to submit this form as soon as possible so you can move forward with the next steps of your enrollment, including course registration!

Activate Your AugNet Account

Your AugNet account is your student account at Augsburg. This is where you will find your email, transfer evaluation, graduation audit, course registration, financial aid, student billing, online course access, and much more. Please visit our student computing website to set up your account soon. You will find your Student ID# on your acceptance letter. All admitted students also receive an email with instructions as well!

Register for Classes

You will need to complete your Enrollment Decision Form and Activate your AugNet Account prior to being able to register for classes.

After submitting your Enrollment Decision Form and Activating your AugNet Account you will be notified via your application status page if you need to complete the math placement exam. The required math placement exam must be completed prior to registering for classes.

If you are not required to complete the placement exam or once it is complete, you will be eligible to register.  We will provide detailed instructions (including video tutorials), but your admissions counselor and/or faculty advisor can also assist you in selecting courses and completing your registration.

Registration will open in November for spring semester and in April for summer and fall semesters.

BSN students will be contacted to schedule an appointment with the nursing program coordinator.

Submit Your FAFSA and Contact Financial Aid

Are you planning to apply for financial aid? Complete the steps listed on the Student Financial Services webpage. If you want to be considered for scholarships only, please let your admission counselor know or email studentfinances@augsburg.edu.

Once we receive your FAFSA we will email your financial aid award. The email will include instructions on how to schedule an appointment to review your award, and discuss loan and payment options. We recommend that all students check in with a financial aid counselor as financial aid and billing are not the same at all institutions.

Questions? Contact Student Financial Services at 612-330-1046.

Complete the Immunization Form

Immunization forms are required by the state of Minnesota and must be submitted to Augsburg before you can begin classes. A form is included in your acceptance packet. You may also download an immunization form.

Purchase Your Parking Permit and Explore Transit Options

After you have registered for classes, you can explore your transit options. Auggies are multi-modal!  You can purchase a discounted metro pass, learn about biking options, and car-sharing. Students who need to drive may view permit registration dates on the Department of Public Safety (DPS) website. Temporary permits are also available for purchase if students do not wish to obtain a permit for the semester or academic year.

Apply for Your Access Fob

After you have registered for class, you may apply for your key fob which grants you access to your classrooms after 7 p.m. As an Adult Undergraduate student you will need this access to campus. You may get your fob through the Department of Public Safety’s website. Fobs may be picked up at the Public Safety desk 24/7.

Get your Auggie Student ID Card

Get your Auggie Student ID Card at the circulation desk at the Lindell Library. Your ID card allows you to utilize the library, access the Kennedy Center workout facilities, attend events, use flex points at Nabo & Einstein’s and more! Some businesses also provide student discounts with proof of student ID.
