Congratulations on your acceptance to Augsburg University!
We are excited that you have chosen to complete your degree at Augsburg, and to get you ready for the upcoming semester. Please review your next steps for a smooth transition to campus.
Activate Your AugNet Account
Your AugNet account is your student account at Augsburg. This is where you will find your email, transfer evaluation, course registration and much more. Please visit our student computing website to set up your account soon. You will find your Student ID# on your acceptance letter.
Register for Classes
Once admitted, you’ll receive an email from Academic Advising outlining your steps to get registered for classes, including scheduling your Advising & Registration event and activating your student account (AugNet) so you can view your transfer credit evaluation online.
During the Advising & Registration appointment, an advisor will discuss placement tests and graduation requirements, establish an education plan, and help you register for courses.
If you are unable to attend one of the events due to your schedule, you can make an individual appointment with an advisor. All Nursing students will meet individually with the Nursing advisor.
Questions? Contact Academic Advising at 612-330-1025.
If you are taking Education courses and you have a degree, call 612-330-1130 for your advising with the Education Department.
Registration will open in April for summer and fall semester.
Submit Your FAFSA and Contact Financial Aid
Are you planning to apply for financial aid? Complete the steps listed on the Student Financial Services webpage. If you want to be considered for scholarships only, please let your admission counselor know or email studentfinances@
Once we receive your FAFSA we will email your financial aid award. The email will include instructions on how to schedule an appointment to review your award, and discuss loan and payment options. We recommend that all students check in with a financial aid counselor as financial aid and billing are not the same at all institutions.
If you indicated your interest in housing on campus, your award will reflect this. If you later decide to live off-campus, your award will change.
Questions? Contact Student Financial Services at 612-330-1046.
Are You a Veteran or Military Student?
If so, please contact Tom Kelsey at 612-330-1038 or firstname.lastname@example.org to handle your VA paperwork.
Complete the Immunization Form
Immunization forms are required by the state of Minnesota and must be submitted to Augsburg before you can begin classes. A form is included in your acceptance packet. You may also download an immunization form.
Attend New Student Orientation (NSO)
You will receive additional information as orientation nears and vital information about University policies and procedures will be covered at this mandatory event.
Purchase Your Parking Permit and Explore Transit Options
After you have registered for classes, you can explore your transit options. Auggies are multi-modal! You can purchase a discounted metro pass, learn about biking options, and car-sharing. First-year commuter students who need to drive may view permit registration dates on the Department of Public Safety (DPS) website. Permits will be mailed two weeks before classes begin or can be picked up at NSO (New Student Orientation).
Apply for Your Access Fob
After you have registered for class, you may apply for your key fob which grants you access to your classrooms after 7 p.m., through the Department of Public Safety’s website. Fobs may be picked up at the Public Safety desk 24/7.
Get your Auggie Student ID Card
Get your Auggie Student ID Card at the circulation desk at the Lindell Library. Your ID card allows you to utilize the library, access the Kennedy Center workout facilities, attend events, use flex points at Nabo & Einstein’s and more!
Order Your Books
The Augsburg University Barnes & Noble Bookstore is located in the Oren Gateway Center, and books are generally for sale or rent about a month prior to the term starting.
