| DOWNTOWN MINNEAPOLIS is a thriving part of the city with many clubs, restaurants, bars, sports arenas, theaters, events and businesses. It is easily acccessible by public transportation. It is a walkable downtown even in the winter. It is known for its extensive "skyway" network of walkways that connect many central downtown buildings. Nicollet Mall is a pedestrian mall that stretches for about a mile down the center of the city. In the spring and summer there is a farmers' market. In the winter there is an event called Holidazzle, a nightly festival of parades from the November Thanksgiving holiday to Christmas. | |
