About Mortensen Hall
Mortensen Hall is named after Gerda Mortensen, who was the long time Dean of Women at Augsburg College. This residence hall offers apartment style housing for upper-class students. At 15 stories tall, it is the tallest building on campus. The 13 residental floors have eight apartments on each floor with an even mix of one and two bedroom living styles. Community Advisors provide leadership for each floor and organize social and educational programs, floor meetings, and help develop strong community.
Mortensen shares a lobby connection to Urness Hall with access to the 24-hour computer lab, skyway to Christensen Center, mailroom, and dining services. Residents are provided a bed and dresser. Students individualize their own apartments with common area furnishings. Apartments have cable, ethernet, and a telephone connection. Laundry facilities, classroom space, pool table, and lounges are offered on the lower levels of the hall.
