For priority consideration, please submit requests no later than June 15, 2026, for incoming and transfer students. While we will evaluate requests received after these dates on an individual basis, we cannot guarantee we will have the appropriate spaces available after this date.
Assignment Information
Timelines
- Housing assignment information will be available on or before July 1, 2026, for all incoming, transfer, and PSEO students who have completed Housing Contracts by June 15, 2026.
- Students will be notified via their Augsburg student email when their assignments are complete.
- Residence Life staff completes housing assignments weekly for students who submit their housing contracts after June 15, 2026.

Assignment Options
- First-year students who come directly to Augsburg from high school are eligible for assignments in Urness Hall, Anderson Hall, or the Oren Gateway Center.
- Transfer students and first-year students with time between high school and enrollment at Augsburg are eligible for assignments in Anderson Hall, Luther Hall, Mortensen Hall, or the Oren Gateway Center.
- PSEO students are eligible for assignments in Anderson Hall.

Cancellation Information
Cancellation or termination of a Housing Contract at any time during the Contract term will result in the assessment of a cancellation fee. The amount of the cancellation fee and refund eligibility will be determined in accordance with the applicable Fee and Refund Schedule, based on the effective date of cancellation or termination, as determined by Augsburg Residence Life.
Failure to read Housing Contract, the Residence Life Handbook, the University’s Standards of Conduct, and information provided by Augsburg Residence Life– including email communication, distributed materials, and information provided on the Residence Life website– does not excuse you from complying with the terms, policies, procedures, and guidelines established by Augsburg Residence Life and Augsburg University.
Housing Fee Appeals
Students may submit a Housing Fee Appeal Request to request a reduction or removal of housing fees. Appeal requests are generally not granted for administrative termination or conduct sanctions due to violations of Residence Life policies or the University’s Standards of Conduct, roommate/living environment conflicts, financial hardship, or social or personal preferences.
For Fall 2026, the deadline to submit a Housing Fee Appeal Request is Friday, December 18, 2026. For Spring 2026, the deadline to submit a Housing Fee Appeal Request is Friday, May 7, 2027.
No Housing Fee Appeal Requests will be considered after these deadlines. Submitting an appeal request does not guarantee the request will be granted. All communication regarding decisions on appeal requests will be sent to the student’s Augsburg email account. Appeal requests are reviewed regularly, but there will be a time between submitting an appeal and when a student receives notification of the decision. All decisions on Housing Fee Appeal Requests are final.
