Jessica Ennis (M.S. Astrophysics) is a general education teaching specialist with specific training in astronomy education for non-majors. She is on the Programming Committee for the National Astronomy Teaching Summit and was selected in 2019 as an Astronomy in Chile Educator Ambassador. She is a co-lead through Associated Universities Inc. on the International Astronomical Union’s North American Regional Office of Astronomy for Development. She tries to bring science to the public to assure a more scientifically literate future. Jessica has research interests in the time evolution of the young supernova remnant Cassiopeia A in multiple wavelengths, in hunting for micrometeorites, and in using astronomy as an intercultural bridge-building experience.
