Dr. Jill Oswald DNP, APRN, CNP is a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) who joined the nursing faculty at Augsburg University in 2018 and became the Clinical Director of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)-FNP program in 2019. Since joining the faculty, Jill has been working with nurse practitioner students in both the classroom and clinical setting focusing on her interests of transcultural, integrative, and holistic approaches to patient care.

Jill’s clinical experience started as a registered nurse at Mayo Clinic, Rochester MN as she worked within a general medicine and medical intensive care unit during the first seven years of her nursing career. Jill attended Viterbo University and obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing and FNP degree where she was selected into the Nurse Practitioner Clinical Residency Program at Mayo Clinic. Jill graduated with her DNP in transcultural leadership from Augsburg University. Her doctoral work focused on optimizing the nurse practitioner clinical experience.

Beyond academia, Jill has been working in urgent care and family practice settings since 2012. She followed her passion into holistic and integrative primary care where she is currently working in an integrative family medicine clinic. She has a true desire to teach students, patients, and clinicians how to create long-term positive impacts through a variety of evidenced based practice approaches in order to reach optimal health; a body and spirit that are alert, joyful, vibrant.

Outside of Jill’s professional life, she enjoys being in nature and active with her family and friends all year round. She is always looking forward to new adventures and loves to travel. Jill is an aspiring beekeeper!
