Dr. Michelle Ullery joined Augsburg University in 2022 as the Doctor of Nursing Practice, Family Nurse Practitioner Program Director. At Augsburg, Michelle seeks to lead an exceptional curriculum to prepare students to be family nurse practitioners who are engaged in meeting the needs of our diverse community through a holistic approach.
Michelle’s professional interests center around meeting people where they are to promote health, prevent disease, and manage illness by supporting the body to heal itself. She draws this approach into the academic setting as the director of the DNP-FNP program, in courses she teaches, and by creating community-engaged learning experiences. Michelle maintains certification, licensure, and practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She also maintains advanced certifications as Institute for Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner and an Advanced Practice Wound and Ostomy Nurse. Michelle’s clinical practice centers around integrative medicine in the rehabilitation setting.
Michelle has been practicing as a family nurse practitioner since 2010 and working as an educator in nurse practitioner education since 2014. Michelle maintains active membership with Minnesota Nurse Practitioner, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Institute of Functional Medicine, and National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculty.
