Biography:

Dr. Addicks specializes in clinical health psychology and has worked with a diverse range of clients in VA, outpatient, primary care, and hospital settings. In her roles as a teacher and Director of Training, she aims to create engaging, inclusive, and learner-centered opportunities for students that motivate them to become compassionate, culturally-competent psychologists. Dr. Addicks has research interests in  the scholarship of teaching and learning in graduate psychology programs, assessment-driven approaches to pedagogical improvement in graduate Teaching Assistants, and predictors of student success and retention in clinical practicum placements. Her teaching style emphasizes structural competencies in psychological assessment and treatment.
