
Bridget Doak, Ph.D, MT-BC is a board certified music therapist and was the first woman to earn her Ph.D in music therapy from Temple University. She completed her MA in Human Development at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota, with additional graduate coursework in Music Therapy at the University of Minnesota. Doak earned her Bachelor of Music Therapy degree from the University of Dayton. Doak has extensive clinical experience, with 30+ years as a music therapist clinician, supervisor, and educator in large health care systems, with a primary focus on mental health and substance abuse with clients of all ages. Dr. Doak is past president of the Music Therapy Association of Minnesota and has presented on a variety of topics at local, regional, and national conferences. She was also instrumental in developing the Master of Music Therapy degree at Augsburg, where she taught as an adjunct instructor and clinical supervisor for more than 15 years. Dr. Doak is delighted to return to Augsburg to mentor the next generation of music therapists to bring connection and healing to our world.
