Dawn Miller, MME, MT-BC, Fellow in the Association for Music and Imagery

Dawn has a Master’s degree in Music Education and Music Therapy from the University of Kansas, the Music Therapy (MT-BC) credential from the Certification Board for Music Therapy, and is a Fellow in the Association for Music and Imagery.

Dawn has been employed as a Music Therapist for 32 years. She has created new Music Therapy programs at 5 hospital and hospice programs in Minnesota. She is currently a music therapist at Park Nicollet, where she created the position in 1995.

Dawn was the first music therapist to create a paid music therapy position for a home care hospice program in the state of Minnesota. Music Therapy has now become a standard of care in Minnesota Hospice programs.

In 2013, Dawn received the Health Partners “President’s Award,” one of the highest honors that can be received.

Dawn is the Music Therapy Internship Director at Park Nicollet. She recently began training her 128th intern and is celebrating 20 years of training interns.

Dawn has authored several music therapy publications, including international medical journals and 2 book chapters.
