The Fine Arts Scholarship recognizes incoming students (day only) who have excelled in film, forensics, music, theater or visual arts—including vocal and instrumental performance, acting, design, and production—and who plan to actively participate in the fine or performing arts at Augsburg. Applicants need not major in art, communication studies, film, music, or theater.
This renewable $3,000 per year scholarship is awarded based on an indicated interest in the application for admission to the University. Confirmation and acceptance of the award requires an audition and/or interview, and approval of the fine arts department faculty.
Applicants may apply and audition/interview in more than one area of fine arts but may receive only one scholarship.
Incoming first year students (Fall 2021) must have their Augsburg application completed (all application documents must be received) no later than March 1, 2021. Applications completed after March 1, 2021 will be considered for the Fine Arts Scholarship on a case by case basis and in conjunction with the fine arts faculty.
The Admission Office will connect with students once they are admitted to discuss next steps. The required audition/interview must be completed no later than April 1st, 2021.
If you are a TRANSFER STUDENT the final deadline for completing your application (all application documents must be received) to be considered for a Fine Arts Scholarship is August 1, 2021.
