Led by College Board endorsed consultants, the Advanced Placement Summer Institutes (APSI) are designed for AP teachers to learn content for specific AP courses. In addition to the instruction, the APSI is a valuable opportunity to join with other educators to share best practices, strategies and tips. Register for your APSI at Augsburg, where the APSI has been a tradition since 1999. We have both online and in-person options for this year's APSI!
Description
APSI’s are designed to support all aspects of AP courses, encompassing AP methodology, class assignments and exams, course curriculum, as well as offering strategies for AP course instruction. Each workshop is led by an endorsed College Board consultant. Many of our consultants are the best in their field with leadership experience at the readings and/or contributions of content for the different AP subjects. We are offering three virtual APSI’s and one in-person APSI on Augsburg’s Minneapolis campus!
- Our ONLINE APSI’s use Moodle and/or Google Classroom as our Learning Management System (LMS). For the synchronous portions of the workshop, you will use Zoom. The consultants design both large and small group sessions using this platform while also utilizing Moodle/Google Classroom as a supplement.
- Our IN-PERSON APSI will be held over 4-days (includes lunches) on Augsburg’s Minneapolis campus and allows educators from around the region to come together to share best practices, strategies and tips. Teachers consistently remark that this is the most valuable professional development they take, and we often have teachers back every year!
