The Multicultural Life Scholarships recognize returning underrepresented undergraduate students in the Day program. Students who are eligible and awarded will receive a $2,500 – $5,000 (depending on the scholarship) annual, renewable award. These scholarships are for returning students of American Indian, Latinx, Pan-Afrikan, and Pan-Asian descent and/or a student who has participated, demonstrated record of and/or potential for leadership and awareness within the communities mentioned above.
The ASIA (Asian Students In Action) Leadership scholarship recognizes returning students of Asian descent and/or student who have participated, demonstrated a record of and/or potential for leadership and awareness within the Asian and Asian Pacific Islander American community. Students who are eligible and awarded will receive a $2,500 annual, renewable award for up to 3 years.
Augsburg’s American Indian Recognition Full Tuition Program aims to support and promote the importance of American Indian students on campus. The program will cover all remaining tuition and fees after federal and state gift aid has been applied for eligible students starting in Fall 2022. Bonnie Wallace American Indian Leadership Award is awarded annually to five incoming American Indian undergraduate Day students who exemplify established leadership. Annual award $2500, renewable, based on performance standards, for up to four years. Established in 1996 to honor Bonnie Wallace, American Indian Student Services creator and Program Director from 1978-1996. It is known as one of the “Multicultural Life scholarships”.
The Honoring Outstanding Latinx @ Augsburg Scholarship recognizes returning students of Latinx descent who have demonstrated a record and/or potential for leadership. Students who are eligible for this $2,500 annual, renewable scholarship are those who meet the selection criteria.
The LGBTQIA+ Student Services Scholarship recognizes returning students within the LGBTQIA+ community who have demonstrated a record and/or potential for leadership. Students who are eligible for this $2,500 annual, renewable scholarship are those who meet the selection criteria.
The M. Anita Gay Hawthorne Leadership Scholarship recognizes returning students of Afrikan descent who have demonstrated a record and/or potential for leadership. Students who are eligible for this $2,500 annual, renewable scholarship are those who meet the selection criteria.
Scholastic Connections is a scholarship program for high-achieving undergraduate students of color at Augsburg University. It is designed to assist students succeed in completing their undergraduate degree and prepare them to be engaged, successful citizens of the world on graduation by facilitating career development and planning.
Each recipient is awarded $5,000, per academic year.
