Course Registration

Academic Advising

Our Associate Director of PSEO will be your main point of contact throughout your PSEO journey — from enrollment and advising to matriculating as a first-year student at Augsburg.

They’ll guide you through the registration process and let you know if any placement tests are required based on your completed high school courses, AP exams, or previous college-level coursework and the classes you’re planning to take.

Course registration for PSEO students is a collaborative and guided process. You’ll work together to review your academic interests, graduation requirements, and long-term goals. Based on that conversation, the Associate Director will register you for courses on your behalf. This ensures your schedule aligns with high school graduation requirements while also supporting your college readiness and personal interests. While you won’t register yourself, you’ll be actively involved in shaping your course plan every semester.

After you register, the Associate Director of PSEO will be listed as your academic advisor. You can log into Augsburg’s Navigate system to view their information, schedule appointments, explore support resources, and stay on top of your college life.

Pre-Approved Courses

Minneapolis and Saint Paul Public Schools have each provided a list of pre-approved courses at Augsburg that meet a high school requirement. While students are not limited to pre-approved courses, registration for classes outside of these lists will need to be approved individually by their high school counselor. PSEO students have access to all 100 or 200-level classes except from the Religion (RLN) department.

Academics at augsburg

Augsburg is a liberal arts institution, giving you access to a wide range of subjects that build critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills — all while keeping you on track for high school graduation.

Our academics are organized through the Five-School Model, helping you explore different fields and discover what interests you:

  • Schwartz School of the Arts: Coursework in theatre, music, visual arts, and creative expression.

  • School of Business: Foundational classes in management, marketing, finance, and organizational leadership.

  • School of Natural Sciences: Biology, chemistry, physics, math, computer science, and other lab-based sciences.

  • School of Humanities and Social Sciences: Humanities, languages, psychology, sociology, history, political science, and related fields.

  • School of Health: Introductory coursework connected to nursing, social work, public health, and healthcare pathways.

As a PSEO student, you’ll have the opportunity to take classes across these schools with guidance from the Associate Director, helping you explore academic interests and potential majors early in your college journey.
