Student Orientation and Registration (SOAR)
Student Orientation and Registration (SOAR) is a two-day overnight required orientation experience for all incoming first-year students who will be starting at Augsburg University in Fall 2024. SOAR is designed to help with the transition to Augsburg and allows students to register for fall classes; meet fellow classmates, faculty and staff; learn about university resources and services; discuss living on campus with Residence Life; and get a taste for life as an Auggie.
Auggie Days is the second part of the required orientation experience for all incoming first-year students who will be starting at Augsburg University in Fall 2025. Auggie Days serves as Augsburg’s Welcome Week and is designed to complement SOAR, provide opportunities to enhance academic and personal success, and offers students a helpful advantage in starting their collegiate career off right.
Spring SOAR is a required orientation program for all incoming Day first-year and transfer undergraduate students starting at Augsburg University during the Spring Semester, designed to help with the transition to Augsburg. Students will learn about university resources and services; have a chance to ask questions; meet fellow students, faculty, and staff; and discover why being a part of the Augsburg community is so rewarding.
