Psychology – Jennifer Schlicht

Jen Schlicht (Slish) teaches Intro to Psychology, AP Psychology, and Dual Enrollment Psychology at Olathe South High School in the Kansas City area. Jen served as both Member-at-Large and Chair of the TOPSS Committee which represents high school psychology teachers within the American Psychological Association. During the Covid shutdowns, Jen co-hosted several “Tea with TOPSS” sessions where she interviewed well known psychologists, including Dr. Elizabeth Loftus and Dr. Philip Zimbardo via Zoom, incorporating questions from participants. At the AP reading, Jen has served as a reader, early table leader, and most recently as a question leader. In 2022, Jen was an invited master teacher to present a 3 day workshop for the APA/APF/OSU Workshop for Teaching Psychological Science.

Jen holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Secondary Social Studies Education and a Master’s of Science in Curriculum and Instruction, both from the University of Kansas. She enjoys traveling, Broadway, and Peloton workouts. Jen lives in Olathe, KS with her husband, Troy, and their 9-year-old Australian Shepherd, Truman.
