The people who come to the Health Commons represent diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Health concerns are often in relation to living life on the streets or in a new country of residence. Frequently, people with these problems come to the Health Commons for its easy access, its supportive environment, and assistance with connecting to other healthcare resources.
Go to the HC Cedar-Riverside, HC Central Lutheran Church or HC Rochester pages for the hours, how to get involved, suggested attire, parking, and other details about each location. We are looking for both nursing and PA students to volunteer, as well as students without medical experience so there is plenty of room to assist where needed.
Don’t have time for volunteering at the locations? Consider raising money or hosting a drive to get supplies and donate those to any of our sites. Check out our home page for the list of most needed items, or contact us for the most needed items.
