Ciresi Walburn Scholarship

The Ciresi Walburn Scholarship supports African American men with financial aid, mentoring, and career experiences. The first cohort of scholars was selected in 2018 at two Twin Cities schools, the University of St. Thomas and Augsburg University. Over the course of two years, the program—led by Dr. Abdul Omari, an expert in leadership and mentoring—will include a 12-week leadership class and a trip to a national leadership conference, paid summer internships, a writing course, and networking sessions with African American businessmen.
