Why haven’t I, and/or my friend, received email communication about the commencement ceremony?
Only commencement-eligible students receive communication about the commencement ceremony. To become eligible for commencement (and degree awarding), students need to submit a complete Intent to Graduate Form to the Registrar’s Office and then respond to any subsequent requested follow-up from the Registrar’s Office.

Questions related to Attendance/Tickets/Guest
How many tickets can I order?
The total number of tickets allowed per graduate will be 1 graduate ticket for yourself plus 15 guest tickets for family and friends (16 total). You will be able to access the total number you need as soon as the ticketing system becomes available on February 17. Please only take the tickets that you need. If you don’t take all 16 tickets the first time, you will be able to go back into the system later and reserve the remaining amount if needed.
Can I get more tickets?
Augsburg provides 15 tickets for family and friends to attend Commencement. If you expect to need more than your 15 guest tickets, we strongly encourage you to work with other graduates to use any extra tickets they may have to ensure you have the number you need. While you can use this form to request as many additional tickets as needed, additional tickets will not be released until 2 weeks before the ceremony, and will be based on availability. They are not guaranteed.
Do children/infants need a ticket?
Yes, everyone, including infants and children, must have a ticket to enter Commencement at U.S. Bank Stadium.
What if I do not plan to attend commencement?
If you are not planning to participate in commencement, please log onto the ticketing system when it becomes available in mid-February and indicate your non-participation.
How do I indicate which of the guest(s) need accessibility seating/accommodations?
To request accessible seating or any other accommodations, please fill out the follow-up questions on the checkout page (when you are ordering your tickets) and fill out the Accessibility Form. If you have questions about the physical access provided, please email events@augsburg.edu before the event.
Will tickets be available at the door?
No, tickets will need to be ordered ahead of the event.
I am a staff member who is also graduating. Why can I not get guest tickets?
Due to a technical limitation, some emails default to staff status. Please please email events@augsburg.edu with your name and email and we will update the system.
Questions related to Honors
How do I know if I am graduating with Latin Honors?
To be eligible for Latin honors, a student must be enrolled in an undergraduate program and meet GPA standards as stated below, as well as complete a minimum of 56 traditionally-graded credits at Augsburg. Transfer students should be especially aware of this requirement. Course credits earned from a grade of Pass or Low Pass do not count towards the 56 traditionally-graded semester credits.
Latin Honors will be conferred upon completion of the bachelor’s degree and will be determined by the final cumulative GPA. Because the Latin Honors listed in the commencement bulletin are based on the current GPA rather than the final GPA, the conferred Latin Honors may differ from what was printed in the commencement bulletin.
