Augsburg was one of three founding members of the Minnesota Space Grant College Consortium (along with the University of Minnesota and Bemidji State University).  Since 1991 Augsburg’s Space Grant program has provided financial support for Augsburg students in the form of scholarships and paid research opportunities in several NASA-related scientific fields, has supported educational events for the campus community, and has helped equip both in-service and pre-service K-12 teachers with the latest tools for science and / or mathematics education.
