Summer Housing Dates: Monday, May 12 – Friday, August 22, 2025.
The Summer Housing Contract is available in the Housing Portal until Friday, April 11, 2025.
- Urness and Anderson Hall will be used for summer conferences and unavailable for Residence Life community members.
- Space in Luther Hall is limited for Summer 2025 due to maintenance projects; the third floor of Luther will be offline for the Summer term.
- All community members currently residing in Luther Hall may be temporarily relocated from Monday, May 12 to Friday, May 23 (or sooner) to an equitable space in Mortensen Hall or Anderson Hall to allow for Facilities Staff to provide cleaning and maintenance work in all rooms that were occupied during Spring 2025.
- Any community members transitioning to Luther Hall for Summer Housing must complete their move-in after the cleaning and maintenance work is completed.
- Any community members transitioning to Mortensen Hall or Oren Gateway Center for Summer Housing must complete their move-in by Monday, May 19, 2025.
- All Augsburg students residing in Summer Housing spaces that do not align with their Fall 2025 housing assignment must move out of their Summer Housing space by Sunday, July 27, 2025. No extensions beyond this date will be given unless you are participating in a summer research program (URGO/McNair).
To be eligible to live in any Augsburg Residence Halls for the summer semester, you must meet one of the following conditions:
- You are an international student;
- You are registered for a minimum of three credit hours at Augsburg University for the duration of the Contract period;
- You participated in an Augsburg graduate studies program in Spring 2025 or will be participating in an Augsburg graduate studies program in Fall 2025;
- You are participating in an Augsburg-supported summer research program (URGO, McNair, etc.);
- You are participating in an internship for credit through Augsburg University;
- You are participating in StepUP;
- You are working at an on-campus job;
- You are participating in a summer program with St. Olaf College, Minnesota Private Colleges, or another organization coordinated with Augsburg Residence Life;
- You are experiencing insecure housing or an unsafe housing situation prohibiting you from accessing alternative housing.
Please note your eligibility will be evaluated or verified by Residence Life and/or the Dean of Student Office. You must submit supplemental documentation if you are applying for summer housing due to certain conditions (internship, employment, or insecure/unsafe housing situations). Only students who receive Residence Life and/or Dean of Students approval will be permitted to reside on campus for the Summer term.
We encourage all students who do not currently live on campus and those who live on campus currently but fall outside of these categories to pursue off-campus options at this time. Click here for information about off-campus housing resources.
