Augsburg CGEE is happy to announce our newest open trip, “Hunger and Hope in Guatemala.”
This trip is an opportunity for anyone to travel abroad with us! Participants will get an inside glimpse of Guatemala and learn from local people, community experts and organizations that are committed to ending hunger and extreme poverty. We will visit many of the same places viewed on the public television special, “Rick Steves Hunger and Hope: Lessons from Ethiopia and Guatemala” (airing February 2020 – check your local PBS station for details).
Augsburg CGEE has been offering educational programming in the beautiful country of Guatemala since 1985. Guatemala is a country rich in culture and interesting sites to experience. From the charming colonial city of Antigua, to Lake Atitlán and its surrounding volcanoes, to the colorful tapestry of Mayan history, there is an abundance of things to do, see and learn. We hope you will consider joining us!
We will have three dates available for registration, each with identical itineraries:
- Trip 1: October 25 – November 1, 2020
- Trip 2: November 8 – 15, 2020
- Trip 3: April 11 – 18, 2021
See the program page for full details.
