Meal Plan Requirements
All residents of Urness Hall, Anderson Hall, and Mortensen Hall, regardless of academic classification, are required to purchase a meal plan.
All first-year students (first year at Augsburg, not classified as a transfer student) with Housing Contracts are required to purchase a 15-Plus meal plan or an equivalent plan.
All students affiliated with the StepUP® program with Housing Contracts for Oren Gateway Center are required to purchase a meal plan for the first two semesters they are enrolled at Augsburg University (not including summer enrollment).
If you are required to purchase a meal plan due to the aforementioned classifications, but do not select a meal plan, a 15-Plus meal plan will be applied to your student account, and you will be required to comply with all terms and conditions of the Meal Plan Contract.
Meal Plan Adjustments
Eligible students may adjust their meal plans at the beginning of each semester. Changes can be made to the meal plan until the 5th day of Fall or Spring semester classes. Please email residencelife@augsburg.edu for all Meal Plan Adjustment requests.
Dietary Choices and Accommodations
Dining Services offers vegan options, vegetarian options, and items that do not contain gluten. Students can connect with a Registered Dietitian to consult about dietary choices and needs by contacting askadietitian@aladdinfood.com.
If you have a physical, mental health, or other disability and believe you need a reasonable accommodation or modification in order to have an equal opportunity and meaningful access to Dining Services, documentation from an appropriate licensed professional supporting your request must be provided to the CLASS Disability Resources office. Requests are reviewed and evaluated on a case-by-case basis in collaboration with Augsburg Dining Services. Meal Plan Appeals
The Meal Plan Appeal Request Form is for students who wish to appeal or to request an adjustment to their meal plan for circumstances not related to reasonable accommodations for disability.
Circumstances considered for this appeal process include religious beliefs, observances, or practices, and cultural beliefs, observances, or practices that cannot be accommodated by the University’s Dining Services.
The deadline to submit this form is:
- Fall Semester 2025: Tuesday, September 9, 2025.
- Spring Semester 2024: Wednesday, January 28, 2026.
No appeals or requests will be considered after these deadlines.
Flex Point Information
Flex Points may be used to purchase food at Einstein Bros. Bagels Shop and the dining room in the Christensen Center, Kafe Kafeega in the Hagfors Center, and Nabo: A Neighborhood Cafe in the Oren Gateway Center. Each Flex Point is equivalent to $1.
