Memorable Readings

The Most Memorable Reading is an assignment created by Prof. Diane Pike (now retired). It includes a list of articles, books, and chapters that sociology seniors began selecting in 2023. Some of our Augsburg Sociology alumni have also added their favorites. Each year, our seniors pick their own personal favorite readings from among all the sociology courses they’ve completed and, if they’re not on the list already, the are added to it. This list serves as a valuable resource for current students, helping to spark curiosity, support research, and inspire deeper engagement with sociological topics. Enjoy!
