The biological laboratory is an exciting and transformative space where creativity meets scientific knowledge and methods. However, safety is of utmost priority in these spaces and the
Augsburg Biology Department takes student and employee safety very seriously. Every new employee or student to our Hagfors labs receives introductory and/or advanced lab safety
training as per OSHA requirements. Further, all Biology faculty and staff are up to date on safety requirements and ensure safe and clean work spaces. From chemical safety training to readily
available safety equipment and PPE, every user of Hagfors labs can expect to work in a safety-first environment.
As outlined by OSHA, Safety Data Sheets (SDS sheets) for all departmental chemicals are available to lab users and are immediately accessible through a QR-code scan.
