New Servant Leader Scholarship

Augsburg University’s Department of Religion and Philosophy is excited to offer a $13,000 annually renewable Servant Leader Scholarship to qualifying incoming students who are interested in the department’s Theology and Public Leadership degree. This award is made possible by multiple privately endowed scholarships given over the years from our loyal donors.

Students who are selected for the Servant Leader Scholarship will receive up to $13,000* each year up to four years as long as they remain in good standing within the degree program.

Recipients will be incoming students who have been accepted into Augsburg, plan to major in Theology and Public Leadership, demonstrate a proven track record of leadership, exhibit Christian faith, and can articulate a call to ministry leadership within or alongside the church.

In order to apply for the scholarship, all applicants must be admitted to the University and submit all scholarship application materials by March 25, 2022.  All applicants will be interviewed in April and final notice of selection will be issued by April 25, 2022.

If you have already applied and been accepted to Augsburg University, then you will find this scholarship information in your student portal. Follow this link to the scholarship information in your portal. If you have not already applied and been accepted to Augsburg University, then that is your first step. Apply for admissions here.

Once all application materials have been received you will be contacted to schedule a 30-minute Zoom interview with members of the selection committee.

Application materials and all questions can be directed to Dr. Jeremy Myers at myers@augsburg.edu.
