School Social Work Scholars Program

The Augsburg School Social Work Scholars is a cohort of students who complete field placements in school social work and engage in additional training and mentoring related to school social work practice.

Augsburg School Social Work Scholars will receive:

• $10,000 stipend

• $200 transportation reimbursement for travel to and from their field placements

• $400 stipend for textbooks for their courses

• Cost of the licensure exam fee, as long as they take the exam prior to June 30,2025

• Cost of liability insurance during their field placement

• Cohort events, including additional trainings, speakers, mentoring, and community building activities

The Augsburg School Social Work Scholars program is funded via a grant from the Minnesota Department of Education’s Student Support Personnel Workforce Pipeline Program.
