The University of Minnesota’s Summer Institute in Biostatistics (MN-SIBS) is a six-week, all expenses paid biostatistics immersion program for undergraduates who have an interest in mathematics, statistics, computing, science, or public health research. Our full-time six week program will provide you with a foundation in biostatistics, epidemiology, and statistical computing for which you will receive 4 semester credits. The MN-SIBS summer 2017 agenda included field trips to organizations that hire biostatisticians such as the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., numerous seminars by scientists working on major heart and lung projects, and directed personal advice on applying to graduate school.
