Darcia Cole (she/her/hers) joined Augsburg to be part of a community that reflects her deep commitment to respecting and embracing all people. She and her partner, Jeff, moved to Minneapolis after raising their children in Lincoln, Nebraska, drawn by the city’s diversity. They now live in Uptown, where they’ve found a strong sense of connection and belonging.
Darcia began her professional journey in education, earning degrees from the University of Nebraska and Doane University. After 27 years as a teacher, she transitioned into office administration. As the Campus Ministry Administrative Assistant, she is known for her organizational skills, her ability to create a welcoming environment, and her dedication to supporting colleagues and building meaningful connections with students and staff.
Outside of work, Darcia enjoys exploring local restaurants with Jeff, attending concerts and shows, spending time with her dog Gwen, and connecting with neighbors and family.
