Tuition and Fees

The cost of your college education will be one of the largest investments you will ever make in yourself. Because of this, it is important to make an educated and informed decision when going through the college search process. While we believe you should first consider the best college fit for you, regardless of cost, we know every family situation is different. It is important to distinguish between your cost of attendance and the tuition sticker price when making a decision about your attendance at Augsburg.

Both our Student Financial Services department and Admissions staff are available to help counsel you on options to finance your college education at Augsburg. As part of our commitment to serving a diverse population of students, we are proud that we are able to send out financial aid awards to more than 90% of our students each year, making Augsburg a good financial fit for many students that otherwise could not afford to attend here.

Understanding your financial aid award letter and addressing any questions or concerns that you feel are not accurately reflected on your FAFSA can be done through an appointment with our Student Financial Services department. Appointments are available after you have received your financial aid award letter which typically will be sent out a few weeks after you complete your FAFSA beginning in November of each year.

For an initial estimate of your family’s financial aid eligibility, we recommend using our online net price calculator.

Net Price Calculator

At Augsburg we know that paying for college is not just one brochure about financing your education, we understand it’s many conversations about one of the most important investments you’ll ever make in yourself.

Our Net Price Calculator provides an early estimate of cost for new first-year, traditional full time undergraduate students at Augsburg University. The cost will include tuition, room and board, books and other supplies after grants, scholarships, and student loans. The calculator is not intended for use by transfer, readmitted, continuing, international, or part-time students.

It is important to remember that this process is not an official application for financial aid and is in no way a substitute for applying for financial aid. Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the only formal way to determine eligibility for federal financial aid programs. Official offers of financial aid can only be made after a student has been admitted to Augsburg University.

The Augsburg University Student Financial Services Office reviews all individual and family financial information.  Please keep in mind that although this Net Price Calculator is a helpful tool, it is not able to factor in special family circumstances.  Information about potential grants and scholarships are not a guarantee; actual awards will be made in the formal application process. The purpose of this online tool is to provide information about what the actual tuition cost will be to you after financial aid is considered, and help you begin to plan how you can pay for college.
