Register for SOAR

SOAR is your first-year Summer Orientation and Registration program. Leading up to the event, Campus Activities and Orientation will begin sending you information about SOAR where you will register for classes, meet new people, and get acclimated to campus life.

Academic Advising will begin reaching out to students about placement testing, and how to prepare to register for classes beginning in May.

Connect with Fellow Auggies

Join the rest of your enrolled classmates by signing your name to The Wall in the Admissions office, and by joining the Facebook group Augsburg Class of 2024 to stay up-to-date on events and resources.

Also, you can learn even more about being an Auggie at an admitted student visit event. We offer Experience Augsburg on Monday, February 17 or Destination: Augsburg on Friday, March 27.

Send in Your Official Final High School Transcripts

Request your final high school transcripts prior to graduation. Transcripts should be submitted to Augsburg no later than July 1, 2020.

Send in Your College Transcripts and AP, IB or CLEP Scores

Don’t forget about any PSEO, CIS, AP or IB courses you have completed – if you have taken courses for college credit, you’ll need to have your official college transcripts sent to Augsburg. This will ensure you get into the appropriate courses, and may even help you graduate early!

Transcripts can be sent to Augsburg via a transcript service provider or by mail to:

Make Sure Your ACT Score is “Official”

Although the ACT is not required for admission, the score (with writing section) can be used for other reasons, such as placement tests. At Augsburg, we require that ACT scores come directly from ACT and with a writing score. If you have not yet submitted your official ACT score to Augsburg, please do so. If you didn’t take the ACT with writing, know you will need to take a writing placement test instead for placement purposes. Academic Advising and Admissions will help you along the way if you’re unable to send your scores electronically or if you have questions about whether your score is official.

Submit Your Immunization Form

Immunization forms are required by the state of Minnesota and must be submitted to Augsburg before you can begin classes. Download and complete your form below.

Financing Your Education

Hopefully by now you have already submitted your FAFSA, received your award letter, and met with a financial aid counselor.  If you haven’t, work with your Admissions’ counselor to learn your next steps.

At SOAR you’ll receive an estimated bill for fall semester. A payment is not due at orientation, but it’s helpful to see your bill so you have an idea of what to expect and if you have questions about your estimated award, financial aid counselors are there during orientation to help answer them! Your final statement will be electronically sent to your Augsburg e-mail address the first week of August.

If you have any questions about your financial aid, or if you haven’t scheduled your financial aid appointment yet, contact the Student Financial Services office at 612.330.1046

Make Your Health and Wellness Plan

Your health and well being are crucial to your success at Augsburg. In addition to our on-campus Center for Wellness and Counseling, there are a variety of Health Care clinics and facilities near Augsburg and off campus counseling options. If you need appointments with psychiatry or on-going mental health therapy, we recommend you make appointments in advance of coming to Augsburg so that you have support during the transition and your enrollment. Here are psychiatrists and clinics located near Augsburg. Be aware that often it takes several weeks to secure these appointments in the Twin Cities.

If you are coming to Augsburg University outside of the Twin Cities area, we recommend you consider connecting with Twin Cities providers in advance for medical, mental health, and dental needs.

If you have questions, please contact the Center for Wellness and Counseling 612-330-1707.

Make Your Accessibility Plan

If you have ADHD, a mental health disability, a learning disability, a physical/sensory impairment, a chronic health condition, are on the autism spectrum, or have another disability or a temporary disability, the CLASS office can provide you with reasonable accommodations and support. CLASS (Center for Learning and Accessible Student Services) is Augsburg’s Disability Resources office. For further information and to begin the process of setting up accommodations, please call 612-330-1053 or email

Move into Campus

Move in day for first year students will be in late August 2020. You will receive more information including directions and a specific move in time over the summer.
