Pre-Health Advising

If you are planning to apply to a health professions program in this upcoming cycle and would like assistance with your application, please register for Application Boot Camp. Application Boot Camp brings together participants working on centralized applications to health professions programs, personal statements, and secondary applications. Participants meet in a Zoom room and actively engage in writing in a supported environment where they will receive guidance and feedback. Past participants have reported that committing to attending these times have helped to hold them accountable to getting work done on their applications in a timely manner.

I have been receiving numerous inquiries about shadowing opportunities. I just added another resource, the American Medical Women’s Association, to the URGO website.

I also added information on Pathologists’ Assistants which I recently learned of at the pre-health advisors regional conference I attended last week.

An alum also recently shared a post from Clinical Scribes where she and her sister, also an alum, worked. She said, “It was a great opportunity to learn medical terminology and get immersed in the Healthcare system.”

Lastly, good luck on finals and congratulations to graduating seniors!
