AAMC Situational Judgment Test: Examinee Preparation Webinar

A medical school you may be applying to is participating in the administration of the 2021 AAMC Situational Judgment Test (SJT) in the administration of the 2021 AAMC Situational Judgment Test (SJT).

To ensure that you are prepared for the SJT, the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) invites you to attend the upcoming webinar, Everything you Need to Know to Prepare for the 2021 AAMC Situational Judgment Test, on Tuesday, May 4 at 2:30 p.m. ET. The webinar will feature information about test administration policies and procedures, test preparation materials, what to expect on test day, and plans for score release.

Registration is now open for the AAMC SJT for the AAMC SJT and the exam will be offered at no cost to applicants during this application cycle. Throughout the upcoming 2022 application cycle, the following schools will strongly encourage or require all applicants to complete the AAMC SJT:

  • Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine
  • Morehouse School of Medicine
  • University of Alabama-Birmingham School of Medicine
  • University of California Davis School of Medicine
  • University of Minnesota Medical School Twin Cities
  • Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences

U.S. Army Virtual Education Series Event

The Army Medical Department is hosting a virtual career fair, today May 12, 2021 from 12-9PM (EDT). The fair will feature scholarships for medical and dental school, as well as other fully-funded professional education and financial aid options for:

  • Medicine
  • Nursing
  • Dentistry
  • Veterinary Medicine
  • Clinical Psychology
  • Social Work
  • Occupational & Physical Therapy
  • Dietetics
  • Other allied health career fields, including Optometry, Audiology, Pharmacy, and many more!

Anyone who registers for the career fair will be automatically entered into a drawing to win an Apple Watch Series 6 GPS. Registration is open May 3, 2021 to May 12, 2021.

ADEA GoDental Virtual Fair

ADEA AADSAS® (Associated American Dental Schools Application Service) will open the 2021-22 cycle on Tuesday, May 11. We’re here to help you prepare; applicants and advisors are invited to register for free to join us for the 2021 ADEA GoDental Virtual Fair (#GDVF21) on Tuesday, May 18 – Thursday, May 20, from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time!

Good Rx Scholarships

Good Rx has the inaugural GoodRx Scholarship For Future Black Physicians to support Black students studying to be physicians at the undergraduate and professional levels. 20 students total will be awarded $1,000 each. The deadline to apply for the GoodRx Scholarship for Future Black Physicians is May 19th, 2021 at 3PM CST.

National Premed Day Event 5/28

National Premed Day is May 28th! This is the biggest premed event of the year with 3 pre-med tracks (plus one mini pre-PA track), 35 speakers, and thousands of premeds. All for free!

The keynote speaker Dr. Sampson Davis, is an Emergency Medicine Physician and author of Living and Dying in Brick City: Stories from the Front Lines of an Inner-City E.R.

First Generation College Student Scholarship

The Kryder Law Group, LLC is offering a $1,000 scholarship to graduating high school seniors and current college students who are first generation college students. Applicants must submit an essay on a specific topic related to being a first generation college student. Must have a 3.0 GPA and write an essay. Deadline: June 15, 2022.

Counselors Needed for Scrubs Camp

Counselors are needed to work at Scrubs Camp at Augsburg from July 7 – July 9, 2021; 9:00AM – 4:00 PM daily. Counselors will earn $375 for the three day camp. Scrubs Camp is coordinated by HealthForce Minnesota and provides opportunities for high school students to explore health careers by engaging in interactive sessions led by health care professionals.
