Like Augsburg University, Bethel Lutheran Church was founded in 1869 by Lutheran Norwegians. Its mission also parallels Augsburg’s – to serve the community and the world. Both are affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Bethel has opened its facilities to Augsburg University to provide administrative, classroom and meeting space for programs serving students in the Rochester area.
