Enrollment & Degree Verification

Augsburg College has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to act as its agent for verification of student enrollment and degree status.

(Students cannot use this service.)

Enrollment Status

Your full-time or part-time status is based upon the number of credits in which you are enrolled.  You are considered “registered” by scheduling classes for a specific term.  You move from being “registered” to “enrolled” after the last day to drop a course without notation.

Full-time student status is defined as follows:
(Note: Courses taken as audit do not count towards full-time student status):
Day student – 3 credits per semester during the fall and spring semesters
WEC student – 2 credits per trimester during the fall, winter and spring trimesters

Half-time student status is defined as follows:
Day student – 2 credits per semester during the fall and spring semesters
WEC student – 1 credit per trimester during the fall, winter and spring trimesters

Student status during summer sessions:
Full-time status – 2 credits in a summer session (short sessions)
Half-time status – 1 credit in a summer session (short sessions)

PA students in long summer session:
Full-time status – 2 credits during long summer session
Half-time status – 1 credits during long summer session

Good Student Discount

Insurance companies often offer discounted premiums for scholastic achievement.  Contact your insurance agent for eligibility requirements.  If your insurance company will not accept a “Good Student Discount Certificate” from the National Student Clearinghouse, obtain an official form from your insurance provider that stipulates the guidelines of their discount program.  Submit it along with the Enrollment Verification form to the Enrollment Center for processing.

Grade Point Average (GPA) Verification

Your grade-point average is rounded to the nearest thousandth, so you must have an Augsburg College GPA of 3.000 or above to be certified as having a “B” average. A 2.999 GPA cannot be rounded further, and does not meet the “B” average criteria.

Augsburg College does not track class rank.
