Get to know Rachelle: I have a BA and MA in English from Texas A&M University, and a PhD in Rhetoric, Composition, and Pedagogy from the University of Houston. My experiences in higher education and teaching give me a specialization in “bridging the gap” between the mysteries of academia and the students I advise. I seek to make students feel comfortable and confident in their school and career plans. In my free time, I listen to a variety of overly-dramatic music (2000’s emo, J-pop), play video games (mostly in the JRPG genre), and watch YouTube videos on a truly huge range of topics (both on my own and with my equally nerdy spouse).
