90% of our adult students receive some form of financial aid, including federal and state loans, grants and scholarships. To participate in most loan programs, you must be taking at least six credits or more each semester.
Paying for Your Education
For those who qualify, there are financial aid resources available to assist students with meeting the cost of college, including loans, scholarships, and grants. Grants and Scholarships
Policy
All Augsburg University grant amounts for the Adult Undergraduate program are $50.00 off per credit. This grant is made available to students at the time of their admission only and may not be used concurrently with any other institutional scholarship or grant program. The combination of any Augsburg gift aid along with the federal Pell and SEOG grant and the Minnesota State grant cannot exceed the cost of Augsburg University tuition and direct fees.
Alumni Grant
Students who received their Degree from Augsburg University and return to Augsburg as either an Adult Undergraduate or Graduate student are eligible to receive a grant. Please make sure your admissions counselor is aware that you are an alumni.
American Indian Scholarships
American Indian students who meet federal, state, or tribal requirements may apply for special scholarships. Contact Augsburg’s American Indian Student Services program for more information.
Peace Corps Grant
All who have served in Peace Corps may receive a Peace Corps grant. Please inform your admissions counselor of your service to receive this grant.
AmeriCorps Grant
All who have served in AmeriCorps may receive an AmeriCorps grant. Please inform your admissions counselor of your service to receive this grant.
Military Tuition Grant
Augsburg offers a grant to Adult Undergraduate and Graduate students currently serving full- or part-time in any branch of the United States armed forces or veterans of any branch. Partnership Grant
The Augsburg Partnership Grant applies to new enrolling students only and allows employees of partner institutions to receive a tuition discount in the form of a grant. Students receiving the partnership will have their tuition deferred if their employer provides tuition reimbursement and the appropriate forms are completed.
Legacy Grant
Student’s who have had parents, grandparents, siblings or a spouse who received their degree from Augsburg University are eligible for this grant.
Partnership Referral Grant
Student’s who have a referral from someone that could have qualified for a partnership grant (ex: spouse that works at Wells Fargo) are eligible for this grant.
Phi Theta Kappa (PTK)
Augsburg recognizes academically qualified transfer students from community colleges who are members of Phi Theta Kappa.
Payment Plans
Employer Tuition Reimbursement
Many companies support their employees’ education by providing tuition reimbursement for approved courses. Find out more on the Payment Plans page.
Military Payment Plan
Students whose educational expenses are paid directly to Augsburg by the VA or other military organization may qualify for a special payment plan. Find out more on the Payment Plans page.
Third Party Payment Plan
Students whose educational expenses are paid directly to Augsburg by a third party, such as Vocational Rehabilitation Services, work readiness programs, or other outside educational assistance programs may qualify for a special payment plan. Find out more on the Payment Plans page.
Augsburg Extended Payment Plan
All students are eligible to enroll in a monthly payment plan to bridge any gaps between financial aid and their educational expenses. Find out more on the Payment Plans page.
