CLASS Program

Center for Learning and Adaptive Student Services (CLASS)

The Center for Learning and Adaptive Student Services (CLASS) illustrates its commitment to students by providing services and accommodations to individuals with learning, attentional, psychiatric or other cognitive disabilities. (For services for students with physical disabilities or other health impairments, see the Access Center.) The foundation of CLASS is deeply rooted in the promotion of student independence and the personal realization of one’s full potential.

In CLASS you’ll find individualized services provided by highly-skilled professionals, along with a range of individualized accommodations, including current assistive technology. As an Augsburg student, you’ll be part of a small yet diverse college community located in the heart of the Twin Cities metropolitan area. You will also be part of a community that is aware and accepting of students with disabilities; CLASS serves an average of between 120 and 170 students each year.

CLASS Mission Statement
To assist academically qualified students with disabilities to reach their individual potential, to promote their independence, and to ensure their access to the educational experience at Augsburg College.

CLASS Staff
The CLASS staff includes a Director, Disability Specialists, an Accommodations Specialist, and an Administrative Assistant, all experienced in serving students with disabilities.
