In which departments/programs did you teach?
I taught in the Business Administration department doing MIS (Management Information Systems) courses in the day and weekend undergraduate programs. I also taught in the MBA program.
How many years have you taught at Augsburg?

Tell us about a student who made an impression on you.
Adekemi Adenle (Kemi) was an MIS major from Nigeria who struggled to complete all her coursework, yet she never gave up. She met with me weekly between class sessions for individual tutoring during our capstone series of courses and reworked assignments as she endeavored to understand MIS concepts and techniques. Later this month, two Augsburg alumni and an all-star cast will debut a unique site-specific production of Anton Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard at the Historic Lind House in New Ulm, Minn. The production also features high school and community actors from the Sleepy Eye/New Ulm area and includes live music from the Sleepy Eye Concertina Club.

The links between Minnesotan and Chinese private colleges grew this week at the Joint Faculty Professional Development Institute, which met at Augsburg College from June 19-23. The institute is a product of two years of planning between the China Consortium members of the Minnesota Private College Council (MPCC), United International College (UIC) in Zhuhai, China, and Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) in Hong Kong.
This year, the Weekend College Student Senate initialed a comprehensive restructuring process. This restructuring process allowed the group to increase representation for all WEC students, by providing each academic division with representation that is proportionate to their major student population.
The spring semester has ended and many faculty are doing summer work, focusing on scholarship, simply enjoying their time away from the classroom, or perhaps a combination of these activities. Here we share answers to our questions about the experiences of Bruce Reichenbach, one of the Augsburg faculty members who retired this year. On July 5, Campus Kitchens at Augsburg College (CKAC) will begin its third year hosting a farmers’ market on campus. This year the market will also include ready-to-heat meals prepared by the students who staff the CKAC program in the summer.
In the months preceding my anxiously awaited departure to Bad Mergentheim, Germany I made a few personal preparations. About three months prior to leaving, I began learning the German language and reading all the books I could find on German history and tourist highlights that I wanted to be sure not to miss. Regardless, no amount of studying or research could have prepared me for the shock of landing in Frankfurt among a crowd of German speaking Deutschlanders. Soon after arriving, I took my first ride on the Bahn and made it to the scenic little town of Bad Mergentheim, in which I have spent the last two months studying.
