HOW CAN I PAY FOR MY BALANCE AND TRANSFER MONEY EASILY FROM MY HOME BANK ACCOUNT?

If you have a balance on your account, you have to go on Inside Augsburg – Records, Registration, and Finances – Student Finances – Current Balance. A new window will open and you’re able to pay any amount through that page.

To avoid extra fees, we recommend that you open a Wise account (get a fee-free transfer up to $600 when you sign up with this link: https://wise.com/invite/dic/chiaraj9 ) and transfer money from your home account to Wise.

Here’s a video tutorial on how to use Wise ( https://wise.com/login?redirectUrl=%2Fhome ) to transfer money from back home:

After that, you are able to exchange any kind of currency to U.S. dollars and either pay from that account or transfer the money to an American account.

WHERE DO I GO IF I HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT ACADEMICS?

For any academic and course related resources:

https://www.augsburg.edu/advising/

LANGUAGE PLACEMENTS

Augsburg students (F-1) can take a test to get credits in their first language to get the Modern Language I & II requirement waived and get credits.

This free test, called LTI, is only available during the summer; connect with your academic advisor for that.

Make sure you are taking the LTI if you want credits and the requirement waived, the other test will only waive the requirement and won’t give you any credits. If you take the regular language test for Spanish, French, or German you will not be allowed to take the LTI too; to get the credits you would have to take the CLEP test outside of campus and pay for it.

More info here: https://www.augsburg.edu/advising/placements/language/
